CCISC Multi-occurring Conditions Training

 

Dr. Ken Minkoff and Dr. Christie Cline will present this full-day training as part of the ongoing initiative to develop and implement integrated systems of care in Iowa to address the complex service needs of all consumers. A growing number of agencies and individuals have begun working together as “change agents” to create a welcoming service system in Iowa for people with multi-occurring conditions (mental health, developmental and intellectual disabilities, brain injury, substance use, trauma, etc).

 

There is no cost to attend the training or to receive CEUs, which are available for the following disciplines: Behavioral Science, Psychology, Social Work, Substance Abuse and/or Nursing. Local “change agent” teams are encouraged to attend. Parking is free. All refreshments, meals and snacks will be on your own. Please bring your own beverages or plan on purchasing them at the Botanical Center.

Who Should Attend

All providers who deliver services to individuals and families with complex needs, including:

·     Mental health and/or substance abuse disorders

·     Intellectual disabilities and/or developmental disabilities

·     Brain injuries

 

Participants will learn

·     How to develop programs that are “multi-occurring capable”

·     How to inspire and serve individuals and families with multi-occurring or complex service needs
